A lemon and Thermador doesn't make it right, September 11, 2011 By Mother4 (Michigan) - See all my reviews This review is from: Thermador : POD301 30 Masterpiece(r) Single Wall Oven Before getting into specific problems with this oven, Thermador, and the retailer I purchased it from (Hawthorne Appliance in Rochester MI), there are a couple of things I wish I'd noticed before buying. First: The stainless color is off. If you have other appliances in stainless (I have subzero), this will look yellowish next to it. I noticed this off color in the store but the salesman persuaded me it would look okay. It sort of does, stainless is stainless, but it bothers me. All the other brands of oven were the normal stainless color. (Miele, bosch, electrolux, GE -- everything else on the showroom floor.)
The dials and analog clock look good, but they are purely cosmetic, and in fact interface (badly) with digital controls. So you've got a temp dial, but it clicks in twenty-five degree increments as if there were a push button back there behind the surface. You can't set temp for 385 or 415. The timer is annoying, you can't set it for seconds, only full... Read more
